CronBeacon

Incidents

When a monitor detects a problem — a failed check-in or a missing job — CronBeacon opens an incident.

One incident per outage

CronBeacon creates one incident when a problem starts, not a separate alert for every missed schedule. If your hourly job stops running for 6 hours, you get one incident — not 6.

The incident stays open until your job starts reporting again.

Automatic resolution

When CronBeacon receives a successful check-in after an incident was opened, it automatically resolves the incident. You can see the full timeline: when it started, how long it lasted, and when it recovered.

Incident timeline

Every incident tracks:

  • When it opened
  • What caused it (missing or failed)
  • Which expected check-in window triggered it
  • When it resolved (and which check-in resolved it)
  • Total outage duration
